Amasia is an exile from the island of Amar, which is ruled by women warriors. While men are not unknown on Amar, they are used as servants and for breeding purposes. Amasia was of the First Shield, a rank equal to a knight in other kingdoms, and was celebrated as the finest warrior in all of Amar. Her fall from favor came about due to love. She dared to fall in love with a male servant. For her punishment, her lover was executed and she was bound to a raft and set adrift on the Telassan Sea. She survived her ordeal--having washed up on the shores of Phyrras--and made her way to the city of Phyrra. She is among the most popular of current duelists.
