|
|
We have already announced the next in our epic line of terra-forming PvP events starts next week. Here are the details in all their informative glory.
Q. When will the event start?
A. Sept 10th after our update (around 9 AM EDT).
Q. How will I join?
A. You have to complete next week's Shadowlands quest.
Q. How does it work?
A. In the quest, you will choose a faction: Aenok or Daemons. Once you have chosen a side, you will score 1 point for your side for each player on the other side that you beat in a challenge. You can view our last event's scoreboard here.
Q. How long does the event last?
A. Three weeks.
Q. Who wins?
A. We all do.
Q. No really....who wins?
A. There will be many winners. The faction that wins will have a whole set of items released with the theme of that faction. For example, the Shadowlands item set was based on the last winners (the Army of Shadow). There will also be trophies handed out to everyone who participates in the event regardless of whether their faction won. Again, the trophy will be based on the winners (Trophy of Dark Victory - see what happens when you lose).
In addition to the gifts enjoyed by all, there will be three (3) winners from each faction.
Q. How are individual winners chosen?
A. The kill leaders from each faction will be the individual winners. At high noon server time, the leader from each side will be declared on Sept. 14 and 21. There will be another winner from each side at the end of the event on the 24th.
Q. What kind of sweet rewards do the individual winners get?
A. I'm glad you asked. We have a new item set coming out next Thursday (the 10th). This set is a little different than previous sets. We will be pre-releasing it as complete outfits only (1 outfit for each path). Each outfit will have 12 pieces, one for each slot, and include a legendary weapon. They are designed so you can wear the whole thing (power-wise). Each individual winner will get to choose 1 of the outfits. Others can purchase them in the store.
Q. Can you be an individual winner more than once?
A. No. Your alts can participate, get trophies, etc. but you are only eligible to win one of the outfits. If you happen to come out on top more than once, you can brag to your friends and we will take the next person on the list.
Q. Which faction should I choose?
A. That is completely up to you. I can tell you that outfits for Mages and Assassins are Daemon and outfits for Aenok are Druid and Warrior. However, you can choose any outfit if you're an individual winner.
Q. When are the trophies handed out?
A. During the last quest - on Oct. 1.
Q. Do I need to know anything else?
A. Maybe. Post questions here. _________________

To Clarify:
Instead of going crazy clicking like mad for the whole time, you have the option of choosing which phase of the battle you want to make your attempt. Or you can try each time if at first you don't succeed.
Phase 1: Sept 10 - noon Sept 14
Phase 2: noon Sept 14 - noon Sept 21
Phase 3: noon Sept 21 - noon Sept 24
For each Phase the top killer on each side will win a deluxe full item set from the new premium set. 6 people total will win this prize.
Q. Which faction should I choose?
A. That is completely up to you. I can tell you that outfits for Mages and Assassins are Daemon and outfits for Aenok are Druid and Warrior. However, you can choose any outfit if you're an individual winner.
The choice is sort of like Angel vs Demon. The Angels have slick, shiny golden battle armor - the Demons have scary "armor" like people faces as kneepads - their stuff is made to strike fear into their enemies.
Personally, I like the look of the Aenok armor and will probably team with them. _________________

Suggestion:
Can this be done in time?
Take Team Battles, increase the number of people allowed on a team to 25?, 50?, 100?
Allow people to be on multiple teams (so they dont need to quit their current team) would be nice but not mandatory.
Allow PvP faction to be set as a limiting factor for membership of a certain team. So a team with Aenok option must be all Aenok, etc.
Encourage Aenok teams to battle Daemon teams with the possibility of some bonus for the winning team (for example, each member of winning team gets +N kill points where N = number of players on the other team.) _________________

I have a few questions .
1. How about 3 faction PVP? (not now, maybe in the future) So it doesn't all have to be all black or white. Like in this case I'd just fight both factions seeing as I don't want the city of duels all uptight and stuff, nor do I want it full of drunken over sized leathery bats.
2. Item sets are nice. Am I correct in assuming there's no bonus for wearing the complete thing other than just the individual bonuses from the items themselves?
3. I don't like them angels and I think they'll loose but I'd like some items from them too. Is a non-premium pack with items from BOTH sides a thing me might see at any moment in the future? Less packs since they are the looser but still.. _________________

The game needs a cheap set like Duels Core for the newbies or non paying veterans not some fancy armor set ......
As for prizes its a lot better than the previous event with multiple winners....

Thanks Blerg for the clarity with regard to this PvP. It's a massive improvement over the last one! _________________

Answer this question please. |
It says 12 pieces, a legend weapon. I assume some of the armor is legends too, but no Artifact.
Corruption sets ended up at $400 with an artifact and did not sell out too fast.
I will guess $150 for one of these sets.
1100 Challenge Coins. _________________

I really doubt any of the armor will be legendary. I suspect the price tag is about right... $150. _________________

If this is going to be an attractive 12 piece set that people want to buy, I think it has to have some legends in it. The Aenok/Daemon set itself has to have some armor legends and the legends have to be in the sets or else it's basically much ado about nothing. _________________

- The sets are more than attractive. They kick @**!
- 1 legendary per set.
- 550 cc.
- The bonus for wearing the whole thing is massive style points.
- Love the idea of multiple factions. Won't happen this go 'round. _________________
