To see him is to think of an old pilgrim traveling the sacred circuit of the Ten Pillars (the ancient ten temples of the Goddess Mirana that dot the far flung corners of the Aseti Empire). A harmless if slightly eccentric old man in tattered robes, wild-haired and wild-bearded, leaning heavily upon a long, scarred staff. Truth be known, however, that Girador was once a Walking Duelist (this was before the Arenas were built) who fought all comers at crossroads, county fairs, and other such simple venues. Using only his trusty common staff, he fought swordsmen and axe men, fist men and macers, and never lost a duel. Where he got his training, no one knows--and he certainly won't tell--but it would be wise to learn all you can from him.
