Twas early in the morning, a quarter past four
When the young warrior Thalen heard a knock at his door.
Grudgingly he awoke, then he shuffled across the floor
When suddenly his home blew apart with a tremendous roar!
He faced a fate we can only feel pity for -
None other than the Black Mage Alren he stood before!
"Young Thalen," Alren spoke, "you have been quite a sore -
Publicly slandering me in days of yore!"
"You have called me skill-less and a Mage unversed in lore -
Even my manner of fighting to you is a bore!"
"Your groundless insults I can no longer ignore,
So I have decided we shall now go to war."
In a single fiery spell we to this day abhor
Thalen became naught but bits of blood and gore.
To those who do not like him, who condemn and deplore
He says only, "Go ahead, cry some more!"
