Mattiaus has lived most of his life in isolation. At one time he was considered a great prophet and soothsayer; however those days were long ago. The people grew suspicious of Mattiaus when, one day he came down from his mountain home and proclaimed to the people that this world was not real; in fact he believed that everyone was controlled individually by a higher being. Not only that, he believes that the very laws that govern the world can be changed by a small group of these controllers he refers to as 'Developers'. Now he fights in the arena, trying to spread his message to his defeated opponents and hoping that one day he can become real.
