Origin
Nessa Lore was born Nessarose Tari, the daughter of Frexspar Tari. When she was 13 she was blinded in an attempt on her life. At 18 she was betrothed, but on the day of her wedding the groom was murdered. She ran away, taking his last name for her own, and vowed to find those responsible.

Her only friends are her twin brother, Kaemeta, and Orthan, a mysterious human with whom she has an ambiguous relationship.
