This particular duelist is Nimrok the Lesser Bad. Lesser because he doesn't want to be stereotyped as a truly evil man. Oh, he can be vicious and he can show no mercy, but in his heart it's all for show. Nimrok is a performer. The Arena is his stage. He realizes there's a fine line between fantasy and reality in a dueling match--one that he treads carefully. He also realizes that this all works only because he really does have fine combat skills. It's truly difficult maintaining the Lesser Bad persona, however, for on any given day, he's liable to approach either the Greater or (plain old) Bad side of things and that would really screw up his reputation.
