Origin

The grandson of an African slave, Pushkin was born in St. Petersburg and soon became Russia's preeminent poet. Later in life he got in trouble with the feds for being too radical, and was sent to Moldova, where he joined a secret society of Freemasons called Filiki Eteria. Later still, he married a slutty woman, and then died in a duel with her alleged lover, Georges d'Anthes.
