Vestasia was a good girl of royal blood until she was kidnapped by the Pirate Butcher Bil. Bil thought he could ransom her off for an excellent price. Vestasia didn't really want to go back home to a life of dull expectations. She killed two of Bil's men in melee combat to prove her point. Bil was impressed. Soon Vestasia ranked high among the crew, becoming Bil's second-in-command. After the Machanite Navy forced an end to Bil's career, Vestasia joined him in exile and became a formidable duelist in Phyrra.
